Solar Canada teaches and administers examinations. It does not issue credentials, and it is careful about the difference, because the difference is what makes a credential worth having.
There are fewer providers authorized to administer NABCEP examinations in Canada than there are provinces. That scarcity is the reason we exist, and it is also a responsibility: a testing centre that bends toward its own students degrades the credential for everyone who holds it.
An organization that both teaches candidates and decides whether they pass has an unmanaged conflict, and the internationally recognised rules for certifying people treat that arrangement as a threat to impartiality on its face. The cleanest answer is a bright line: training on one side, certification decisions on the other, with no shared interest in the outcome. We are on the training side of that line, and we say so on every page where it could possibly matter.
Head office and the main classroom are in Toronto. Classroom and examination delivery also run in Calgary and in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Live online and self-paced delivery reaches the rest of the country, which for a training business in Canada is most of it.

We are an authorized NABCEP Registered Exam Provider, which is an authorization to administer examinations properly. That is a different thing from being an accredited certification body, and we do not describe ourselves as one.
No. NABCEP writes, delivers and scores its examinations. The centre provides the room, the identification check and the proctoring.
Solar Canada sits within a wider group of Canadian energy businesses. Its training and examination operations are run on their own terms, and exam administration is not influenced by any other part of that group.
